Coverage & Limitations

Last updated: 2026-03-01Effective: 2026-03-02
Short summary

ReadiLaw provides access to general legal information through an online question and answer platform. The service does not create an attorney client relationship and does not include court representation, document filing, or emergency legal services. Responses are based on the information you provide and may not account for all relevant facts or jurisdictional differences. Users are responsible for confirming deadlines, protecting their rights, and seeking in-person legal representation when necessary. Platform availability, response times, and expert participation are not guaranteed. This notice explains the scope of what is covered and the limitations that apply when using ReadiLaw.

1. Purpose of this Coverage & Limitations Notice

This Coverage & Limitations Notice explains what ReadiLaw provides, what is outside our scope, and the practical limits that apply when you use our platform.

ReadiLaw operates an online platform that enables users to ask questions to legal experts for general guidance and information. This platform is not a law firm, and using the platform does not create an attorney client relationship.

2. What is covered on the platform

ReadiLaw provides access to:

  1. General legal information and guidance from experts through the platform’s Q&A features.
  2. Access to content on the platform, including questions, answers, profiles, and other user communications.
  3. Platform tools that support communication between users and experts.

If you are on a paid plan, your plan may include additional access or usage limits. Your plan details control what is included in your subscription.

3. What is not covered

ReadiLaw does not provide:

  1. Representation in court or at tribunals.
  2. Filing of documents on your behalf.
  3. Signing documents as your attorney.
  4. Formal legal advice tailored to your full facts and circumstances.
  5. Guaranteed outcomes, guaranteed response times, or guaranteed accuracy of any post.
  6. Emergency services or urgent intervention.

4. Information only and no attorney client relationship

The platform is designed for informational and educational purposes only. Content provided by experts is general information and is not a substitute for a full consultation with a lawyer who can review your documents, confirm facts, and advise you on a specific strategy.

Using ReadiLaw does not create an attorney client relationship between you and ReadiLaw or between you and any expert through standard platform use. This is consistent with the platform model described in the Terms of Service.

Terms and conditions UPDATED

5. Jurisdiction and location limitations

Laws differ by country and sometimes by region. Experts may answer based on:

  • The jurisdiction you specify
  • General principles where you did not specify a jurisdiction
  • The information you provide

If you do not clearly state your jurisdiction, your question may be answered in a way that is not applicable to you.

6. Practical limits of online guidance

Online guidance is limited because:

  1. Experts cannot independently verify the facts you provide.
  2. Experts may not review all relevant documents unless you provide them.
  3. Important details can be missing or misunderstood in text-based communication.
  4. Some matters require in-person steps, official filings, or court deadlines that cannot be handled through the platform.

You are responsible for confirming deadlines, protecting your rights, and seeking local in-person legal support when necessary.

7. Sensitive matters and urgent risk

ReadiLaw is not suitable for urgent situations, including:

  • Risk of immediate harm
  • Domestic violence emergencies
  • Active criminal investigations requiring urgent representation
  • Situations with imminent court deadlines or warrants

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or an appropriate authority immediately.

8. Limits on confidentiality and privacy

Communications through the platform are not treated as privileged attorney client communications under the standard platform model. You should avoid posting:

  • Sensitive personal identifiers
  • Banking details
  • Information that could identify third parties without consent
  • Information you would not want publicly accessible

Your content may be published on the site and may be accessible via search engines, as described in your Privacy Notice and Terms.

9. Additional Services

From time to time you may be offered services outside the standard Q&A format, including off-platform communication. Where an additional service is offered:

  1. The scope of that service will be described in the offer.
  2. Fees and delivery terms will be described before you accept.
  3. ReadiLaw may facilitate the connection, but ReadiLaw is not a party to any agreement between you and the expert providing the service.

Some additional services may evolve beyond information only. If that occurs, any attorney client relationship would be between you and the expert, not ReadiLaw, and it would be governed by the expert’s own engagement terms. This aligns with the Additional Services framework in the Terms.

Terms and conditions UPDATED

10. Platform availability and service interruptions

ReadiLaw aims to keep the platform available, but availability is not guaranteed. The platform may be unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance
  • Security updates
  • Network failures
  • Third-party outages

If the platform is temporarily unavailable, you may not be able to access content, send messages, or view updates until service is restored.

11. Expert availability and response times

We do not guarantee:

  • That a specific expert will be available
  • That an expert will respond within a particular time
  • That an expert will respond to every question

Response times can vary based on topic complexity, specialist availability, and volume.

12. User responsibilities and fair use

You agree to:

  1. Provide accurate information.
  2. Avoid posting prohibited content.
  3. Use the platform in a personal, non-transferable manner where subscriptions apply.
  4. Avoid excessive use that disrupts service for others, consistent with fair use principles stated in the Terms.

Nothing in this notice limits liability where it cannot be limited by law.
